The difference, in one question
"Which units are available from the 10th to the 12th?"
A calendar cannot answer it: it displays boxes, and you are the one who counts. A resource engine can — because it knows what you own, how many, and what is already taken. This is the only difference that matters, and all others stem from it.

An open season, specific dates, or both with exceptions in both directions. Everything is resolved by the same stack of rules—and between two contradictory rules, the one that does not sell wins.
Double booking is impossible
Verification takes place in the database, under lock — never in the browser. Two customers requesting the last spot at the same time will get one booking between them, not two.
Your customers remain yours
Customer profile, history, export, and deletion are connected to WordPress tools. Deleting does not remove bookings: what identifies a person is removed, what proves revenue remains.
A confirmation that says what it does
“Cancel booking VX-4821” says nothing. Ours names what it releases: two spots on the Saturday ride, and Bijou. A confirmation that is not read protects no one.
WooCommerce, if you have it
Optional. When it is absent, the extension says so frankly, where it matters — and everything else continues to work.

You declare what you have
By quantity — “twenty bikes”, the engine counts. Or by named unit — “Bijou”, “Bike no. 018” — and the engine names them, each with its own maintenance and history.
You remove what is not available
Bijou is limping: three days of removal, and it stops being offered. It is not deleted — it returns, with its entire history.
The calendar tracks everything on its own
Slots that can no longer be served disappear from the public site. You do not remove them manually: you should not have had to think about it.

Before you get started.
What happens after the 30-day trial?
Nothing gets blocked and nothing is deleted. You return to the Free edition, which remains usable for life. Existing bookings remain, your clients remain, your inventory remains — only the Plus edition features cease to be available.
Is WooCommerce required to process payments?
No. WooCommerce is an option: when you have it, bookings can be processed through it. When you do not have it, the extension clearly states so, and everything else continues to function.
Can I manage several types of resources at the same time?
Yes, in the Plus edition: as many categories as you want, each by quantity or by named units. An equestrian center can thus manage its horses by name, its helmets by quantity, and its rooms by name, all within the same calendar.
How do you close a period?
You declare the closure, and the message tells you how many reservations fall within it before you confirm. Closing does not cancel anything on its own: you see what it affects, then you decide.
What about GDPR for my clients' data?
Export and deletion are handled through native WordPress tools. A deletion request removes personally identifiable information and keeps the booking anonymized: this is what the law requires, as revenue must remain verifiable.
